In this book, Joe Schmit teaches us how to be impactful in the lives of fellow beings.

If we have the three qualities of purpose, persistence, and passion, we can create a big impact on others.

Most of the time, we can create an impact on others when we stop trying to impress them.

And it is not necessary that any workplace worker in a higher position be impactful; it is possible that the person who cleans the office is more impactful.

To be impactful, we need to align our actions with our values.

With purpose, we can align our actions with our values. Those who align their values and actions in the workplace demonstrate integrity in their work.

Persistency in work and action creates results. We can become impactful when we have results.

By reaching the office on time, staying fully energized at work, and putting 100 percent effort into work, the positive routine impacts ups and downs in teams.

The work of impactful people reflects their passion. Their passion is making them the heart and soul of their work. They understand their team members and take an interest in their lives. And this passion is their key to a good relationship.

As parents, our integration is always on the line. And if our actions do not align with our actions, it will reflect on our children. We need to be very careful in our daily lives.

Impact resolution.

Instead, make a new-year resolution. That did not remain for long. Commit to a 30-day impact resolution. And remake it every month.

The most important resolution must be to never be petty with yourself. Whatever the situation, no matter how bad things are, someone else will take credit for your work. You need not be petty with yourself. If you pity yourself, others will make you more miserable.

The second resolution is less judgmental. Accept things as they are. Give one compliment each day. Be more patient. speak less and focus more on listening. When we focus more on listening, it helps us learn to be more generous and tolerant.

Being an impact player in life, we need to be committed to principles, even when no one is watching.

It is very interesting that being impactful does not require a lot of resources, a lot of skills, or a lot of strength. It is similar to what Mike McKninley once said.

“USE WHAT YOU GOT TO GET WHAT YOU WANT.”

It means we should understand our strengths and weaknesses and use them to achieve our goals.

Only by achieving our goals can we create a positive influence on others.

We can also create negative influence if we talk about our failures and bad things.

For example, on one of the private TV channels, human resources never hires a candidate who complains about their previous employer.

During the interview, they asked about why you decided to leave your previous company, and in the case of the candidate, they spoke about politics, bad behavior, and not good people working there. Human resources rejected that candidate. The reason for that is that all those organizations have similar problems. He who did not fit or handle will also fail here.

If we want to create an impact, never complain about a bad experience. It reflects that we are unable to handle the situation.

For success, there are no short cuts; you need consistent, persistent hard work.

Hard work and persistent preparation are needed to get to the top, no matter what industry.

There is a famous quote from pop singer Usher: “LUCK FAVORS THE PREPARED.”

Sometimes in life, we stay mediocre and less impactful when we think that we can settle for good while we can do better. We will be impactful. when we continuously think and put effort into staying at the top of the game while we are already at the top of our industry.

It is our responsibility to stay away from negative people. They create an impact on us, which leads to further impact on our family and team members.

If we find ourselves as negative people, then take decisions and make conscious efforts to stay positive or stay quiet. Always think and act as an impactful person; your actions can influence your fellow beings. So always keep this in mind and control your actions and behavior.

Persistence is the key to achievement. If you want to succeed in business, you need to be persistent. the spirit of achieving a big goal that stays persistent and celebrates the small wins. And learn from your mistakes.

If you face adversity, you intentionally do and think differently, so different results appear. The only way to influence your future self is by living intentionally.

Influential people always remember that the journey to achieve something is more important than the award they receive. In life, there are no shortcuts. To achieve something, you pay the price. It’s important to learn how to win and how to lose. You need to build relationships both in school and in your professional life.

Happiness is intention. Control is illusent; you have intention. You have intentional control over your actions and your reactions to things. In the morning, we get up with the intention of staying positive or negative. You cannot control what happens outside the world, but you can still control how you respond to it and how you approach life.

One way to wake up in the morning and stay positive is to think of all the great things in your life. If you don’t have one, make a list, count them in the morning, and think of the great day ahead. This will help you stay motivated and achieve success every day. This list is your security blanket for bad days.

Aruther talks about how you can be influential only when you feel good about yourself; instead, you are a person of influence when everyone around you feels good about themselves in your company.

You can do that by lifting someone’s self-esteem.

Always say something positive about someone. You can always find something good in them. Make it a practice to praise others more and condemn only those who require it.

If you have a positive attitude, you can create a positive impact. Positive attitudes, including smiles, a friendly attitude, and a heart of gratitude, help to make an impact.

Sometimes, we make a motto and then start chasing it, which makes us impactful and successful. For example, Dave Thomes started Wendy’s in November 1969. He stated that his goal was to serve great hamburgers. He made a motto: “Quality is our recipe.” He built his empire around this motto, “which decided to deliver what to the community.

We all have seven days in the week. It’s up to us to make something special.

To stay motivated to achieve your goals and to understand your trigger point, the same pain that makes you decide to quit also helps you stay motivated. Remember the pain, after which you decided to push yourself to be the best?

To be successful in your company, your job, or your personal life, take and implement the three Ps.

Purpose, persistence, and passion.

By implementing these three Ps in our lives, we can make our Mount Rushmore.

Improve yourself and become influential. when people use the word impact or influence. Look where they point, and study those people who are considered influential in that context. What characteristics do they have? Understand and implement those things in your life. Be honest with yourself in those areas that need improvement.

You should make a purposeful commitment to yourself—what you want to achieve and why you want it—and put your commitment and efforts into achieving it.
