Lessons Learned: Accountability, Visibility, and Staying Present

I was working on a task based on the initial assumptions and requirements available at that time. We developed the integration accordingly.

Later, the client’s requirements changed, including the integration pattern. As a result, some of the work we had already completed may no longer be usable.

The change itself was not entirely within my control. However, instead of focusing on blame, I need to recognize the part that is within my control: how I manage the situation, protect the work of my team, and provide visibility into what actually happened.

1. Defend the Work with Facts

One of my biggest lessons is that I need to be able to defend the work—not emotionally, but with facts and evidence.

I should clearly understand how resources are being utilized:

  • Which task is assigned to each resource?
  • When was the task assigned?
  • When did the resource start working on it?
  • How much time was spent on it?
  • When was it completed and submitted?
  • When was it reviewed by QA or the functional consultant?
  • Was rework requested, and why?
  • When did the rework start and finish?
  • When was the task finally reviewed and closed?
  • Was any work discarded because of a requirement or design change?

This information should become a measurable task and resource matrix.

If a project changes direction, I should be able to demonstrate clearly: This was the requirement at that time, this was the work completed against it, this was the effort consumed, and this is when and why the requirement changed.

That is not about blaming someone. It is about creating transparency and protecting the team through evidence.

2. Take Responsibility for What I Can Control

I cannot control every client decision, requirement change, or project situation. But I am responsible for how I respond.

Instead of becoming depressed, defensive, or suppressed by the situation, I need to examine the reality objectively.

What happened? What can I learn from it? What information was missing? What should I track differently next time? What action can I take now?

Every difficult situation should improve my management system.

3. Live and Work in the Present Moment

The second major lesson is to remain fully present.

If my mind is occupied with what happened in the past, I may become frustrated or defensive. If it is constantly worried about what might happen in the future, I may become anxious.

Neither helps me deal effectively with the situation in front of me.

The past is useful for learning.
The future is useful for planning.
But action can only happen in the present.

When I am fully present, I can observe the facts, understand what people are doing, ask the right questions, document decisions, identify risks early, and defend my work professionally.

So the principle I want to follow is:

Do not fight the past. Do not fear the future. Understand the present situation clearly, document the facts, and take the best possible action now.

Why implementation of knowledge is important

Have you ever noticed that raw iron has almost no value?

It’s just a lump of metal pulled from the earth.

But when a blacksmith heats it, removes the impurities, shapes it, and forges it into a sword, a tool, or a machine part—its value increases dramatically.

Why?

Because value is created through knowledge, effort, and application.

The same principle applies to wisdom.

Today, we have access to thousands of books, podcasts, videos, and philosophies. But simply knowing something doesn’t change your life.

Knowledge alone has no value. Applied knowledge does.

Taoism teaches us to flow with life instead of constantly fighting reality.

Zen teaches us to be fully present in this moment, not trapped in regrets about the past or anxiety about the future.

Stoicism teaches us to focus on what we can control and let go of what we cannot.

These ideas sound powerful—and they are.

But they remain just words until you practice them.

Reading about patience doesn’t make you patient.

Learning about discipline doesn’t make you disciplined.

Understanding wisdom is not the same as living it.

Just as raw iron becomes valuable through fire and craftsmanship, wisdom becomes valuable only when it is forged into action.

Don’t just collect knowledge. Transform it into behavior. That’s where real value is created.

The Power of Choosing a Few Things

I want to do many things in life.

I want to become fluent in AI tools. I want to learn Python so I can build my own AI agents. I want to improve my communication skills. I want to read books and study material that help me grow. I want to learn sales and self-development so I can become a better pre-sales engineer. I want to write every day to become a stronger writer. I want to create YouTube videos.

The truth is, I can do many things—but I cannot do everything.

Time is limited.

As I enter what may be my final working decade, I feel the weight of that reality more than ever. Every new interest competes for the same finite hours.

This is where Stoic philosophy offers an important reminder: focus on what matters and what is within your control.

We cannot control how much time we have, but we can control where we direct our attention.

As Seneca wrote:

“It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste much of it.”

He also warned:

“To be everywhere is to be nowhere.”

Even though I understand the shortness of time and the importance of setting priorities, my mind still wants to do everything at once.

This is where Buddhist philosophy comes to mind.

Much of our suffering comes from attachment—including attachment to the idea that we must do everything, learn everything, and become everything.

Letting go of that attachment creates space for clarity.

The power of focusing on a few meaningful actions is also reflected in Islamic teachings. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small.”

The lesson is simple: consistency matters more than intensity.

I do not need to chase every opportunity or master every skill.

Instead, I need to detach myself from outcomes, choose a few priorities, and invest my limited time in them consistently.

Most importantly, I should focus on the skills that align with my profession and long-term purpose. When my learning supports my work, each effort strengthens the others.

Less scattered effort. More meaningful progress.

The goal is not to do everything.

The goal is to do the right things—well.

Is it too risky ?

Yesterday, I was in the company of friends.
One of my friends shared an idea about setting up a food stall at the corner of the local market. We told him it was risky.
Then, another friend mentioned his plan to change careers. He had already found an opportunity, but we told him it was too risky.
Later, another friend shared his weekend plan to visit a hill station. We warned him that it’s risky these days.
Late at night, as I was coming home from work, I thought about visiting the local park for a walk. But my mind reminded me: “It’s midnight—it’s risky.”
The next day, my son told me he wanted to start riding a bike. His mother immediately said, “You’re too young—it’s risky.”
Another friend confided in us about his dream to visit the mountains and climb the highest peak in our country. I told him, “That’s too risky.”
Even one of the young kids I know opened up about his crush, wondering if he should talk to her. He hesitated, thinking, it’s risky.
That evening, I reflected on all these moments.
“What is risky?” I asked myself. Everything seems risky. Our minds often focus on the dangers, the failures, the rejections, or the losses.
But what if we thought differently?

What if we succeeded? What if the food stall became a thriving business? What if a career change brought growth and fulfillment? What if visiting the hill station brought peace and adventure? What if climbing that mountain brought happiness, joy, and a sense of accomplishment?
Of course, there’s always risk.
But isn’t not taking the risk an even bigger one?

How to live a Meaningful life I Purposeful life I Consultant Mindset I Create a Meaningful life

Hey, guys hope you are doing great. Welcome back to the consultant mindset. Everyone in their lives must have come across this question once in a lifetime. Why are we here? What’s the meaning of our life? What’s the mere purpose? The question of human existence is quite different for every religion. Every human is curious to find the answer to this question. What’s the point of our existence in this world? Many humans on this planet are living a meaningless life. They don’t know what to do with their lives. They are just spending their lives in constant struggles. They are spending their lives doing the bare minimum. They aren’t aware of their purpose in life. Many people have come across this thought quite a several times now. If you think like this then you are not alone in this situation. It is completely normal.

First off first, it is necessary to determine the correct definition of a meaningful life. Every individual has his perspective. They perceive life in their way. Not all of us have the same motto for life. A meaningful life is a construct of coherence, happiness and satisfaction. There can be different ways of a meaningful life. Every individual has his passion. Some want to excel in their academic career whereas some want to pursue in their jobs or businesses. A meaningful life refers to how are we going to spend our life. Either we spend it doing things of our passion or spend it wasting time on other garbage.

Life becomes meaningful when it has a purpose. When we become destined to achieve certain goals in our lives, life gets directed eventually. Having goals and purpose and striving for them day and night lets us put some major efforts to strive through the situation.  Finding meaning in one’s life is a personal journey. It requires some time but gradually streamlines you towards a meaningful life. Where you enjoy doing your thing instead of dragging it. A purposeful life lets you overcome any difficulty with much ease. Since you choose a life of your choice you become capable to cope with its hardships as well.
How can we establish a meaningful life?
A meaningful isn’t related to a successful life. If you’re having a satisfied mindset, you feel happy and contented and you’re good to go. People have this misconception that a happy life is somehow related to a meaningful life. You can be successful and live a meaningless life at the same time. For example, a person who is earning less but is doing a job of his interest is better than a person who’s a business tycoon and isn’t passionate about his work. It’s good to have less earnings with a passionate job.
Develop a Passion or Find Your Passion
Anyone has some passion in their lives. While some are just living a trash life doing nothing at all. how can we determine our passion? Well, certain things in our lives make us feel happier and contented. It can either be some art or business etc. we just have to find that happiness and satisfaction. Some people find their happiness at a very old age but it is never too late to find out the exact purpose of your life. If you don’t have any passion, strive for one or find one.
Develop Relationships
Sometimes we develop such relationships in our lives to whom we become willing to devote our entire lives. There should be the existence of such people in our lives. We love seeing those people. Our unfinished love for them makes us do anything for them. We cannot imagine our lives without them. We try to live for them. We try to focus on ourselves for them. It is necessary to find some meaningful people in our lives that will let us move forward always. Life is like the ride of a camel stranded in a desert striving barely under the dazzling rays of the sun. if we want to keep going, stay connected to ones who never care to back off. People who are always willing to push you through your hard times. Keep lifting you no matter how hard you fall. Do you guys have such gems in your lives? Let me know in the comment section.
Monitor Your Mood
Motivation is entirely dependent on your mood. You are not always in the mood to get things done. Since we are not machines there are times when we become extremely exhausted and become unwilling to do anything. At that time, you must not forgive and indulge yourself in other activities. Some random activities like games, exercise, reading books etc can divert your attention. after some relaxation, you again become strong enough to combat problems for your passion.
Monitoring Passion As You Age
The interest of an individual changes throughout life. We have different interests at different stages of life. For instance, older people are more likely to indulge themselves in fun activities. They have trouble establishing new relationships but gradually they develop some really fun activities and continue to pursue them as their passion.
These are some ways which can help you direct your lives towards a specific goal. That’s all for today. Stay tuned for more amazing stuff.

Transform Your Life: Uncovering the Secrets of an Overthinker with a Consultant Mindset I Over Thinking I Stop Thinking I Consultant I Mindset

watch this video in the link above ….

Hey guys welcome to consultant mindset. I hope you guys are doing great. Overthinking is quite common these days.  We tend to overthink every scenario. What does overthinking mean? Overthinking is when a person tends to ruminate over things repeatedly. The biggest assay mark of overthinking is that it is unproductive and it does not yield any good to your health. An overthinker often feels disrupted by even the smallest of criticism. He tends to pound his head upon that particular criticism. Overthinking does not let you do anything novel. Overthinking makes you stagnant in one place. Your skills and time get wasted eventually. Overthinking inflicts stress upon your mind as well. Constantly thinking about the same things all over again not only drains your mental health but also makes you feel frustrated. stress is good but everything is suitable in its limit. A small amount of stress lets you feel bounded to do a certain task. Whereas the extreme amount of stress disrupts your mental health. So you should know the difference between the amount of stress. Why overthinking is common these days?

Overthinking can be provoked by different factors. Such as people having anxiety problems already may find it easier to develop overthinking habits. Whereas people suffering from depression and other mental issues may find it easy to develop overthinking as well. The fear of getting hurt by someone does not let them be at peace.

Overthinking is just unpaid permanent employment. although  It makes you feel agitated and sleepless yet, unavoidable. In short, it has become a necessary evil. Once you become addicted to it, there’s no way back. In today’s era, many people are already suffering from mental health issues so, it is quite easier to develop overthinking habits.

There is a remedy to every problem. Let’s just find some easy ways to overcome this self-destructing habit.

How can we lessen overthinking?

Finding Distractions

well, there’s just this popular saying that an empty mind is a devil’s workshop. Likewise, when we tend to stay inactive and useless, we become more prone to overthinking. We tend to ruminate over even the smallest of things. Instead of doing nothing, it is better to indulge yourself in other life activities where you can remain distracted. Distractions are quite necessary to keep yourself busy with productive things. For example, you can find those  things that interest you. Reading books, cooking, and playing video games or sport helps you stay away from unnecessary thoughts. Find those things and hobbies that make you feel more motivated and relieved. In this way, you will be away from overthinking for quite some sometime.

Try Helping Others

An overthinker always thinks that he is not good enough.  He always thinks bad stuff about himself and ruminates over such thoughts like “Maybe I’m not good enough”, ‘maybe they are offended by my words” etc. Always thinking negative things and not giving yourself some space is the biggest flaw of overthinking. Helping others is a way by which you can think good about yourself. You feel relieved that you are doing something good with your life. An overthinker needs constant reassurance and can get those by helping the needy. Helping others gives off a feeling of accomplishment and cheerfulness. Try doing it more often.

Recognise Your Accomplishments

If there is not anyone to lift you. Then you should become your hero. Constant reassurances hold significant importance in the life of an overthinker. If nobody recognises your accomplishment, then becomes your change. Take a notebook and write down your accomplishments on it. The accomplishments don’t need to be humongous. The smallest of success gives a feeling of calmness and serenity. For example, if this week you get to finish your all delayed tasks then it is an accomplishment. Write it down and praise yourself.

Try Taking Actions

An overthinker develops his imaginary world. He tends to remain in that domain and avoids the rest of the world. He tends to give off answers to every question in his head only. He never actually wants to face the crowd. Try taking action instead of being stuck in one place. Being stagnant in one place makes you feel algal and rotten. The only one who can break the web of overthinking for you is you. None can do that for you. You have to work hard to bring change. If you have misunderstood the words of anyone then go ahead and ask them, Instead of banging your heads on the same stupid thoughts. Sort things out instead of holding them close to your heart. This way you will realise that nobody is interested in your life. It’s just you that thinks everyone matters. However, in the end, only you matter.

Embracing Fears

Instead of acting like a coward, reach out and face the situation. The feeling of fear is temporary if you face the fear. But it becomes permanent when you tend to avoid it. Build up the courage and embrace your fears. The strongest person is the one who doesn’t fear anything. Whereas weak mindsets always tend to fear something. So what are you waiting for?

Let your fears out. And live life.

That’s all for today’s. Hope you guys enjoyed it.

Altering your mindset is necessary for overcoming daily life challenges. Challenges never stop coming into your life; you just have to establish ways to cope with them.

How do we define adversity?

Any negative approach including poverty, rejection, struggling to succeed in a career or losing a loved one comes under the area of adversity.  We may all have to deal with adversity at some point in our lives. All of us have different coping mechanisms. So one way cannot work for the other.

What happens when adversity hits an individual?

Whenever it strikes, thousand of thoughts strike your mind at that point. You feel physically and mentally numb. You start to hate yourself. You gradually indulge yourself in stress and mental illnesses. First off first you have to let go of any expectations. It’s useless to cry over spilt milk. We cannot bring anything back. Just move on. It’s completely alright. If anything has dragged you down, you should not worry. You will succeed after facing failures. Accepting change is hard but it is necessary to make you strong and formidable. Mental health is necessary to overcome incoming challenges and hurdles. Bad things happening to you aren’t your fault. It is written in your destiny. And none can change it. To increase your resilience, it is necessary to let go.

The next step helps in overcoming adversity.

Refrain from making excuses

People who always blame others for their adversities are most likely to remain troubled. How can we free ourselves? if you are facing some challenges due to your own mistakes, don’t stress yourself too much. Even if it’s not your mistake just accept it and move on.  We often think that if we blame others we may feel contented. In this way, we never improve. Always making others guilty for your mistakes won’t let you get anywhere. You will continue to lag. And you can never be able to stand on your own. Stop making excuses and own what you have done. Don’t let yourself rot in a state of constant denial. Be brave and encounter it.

Positive self-talk

Well, it’s human nature to overthink every possible scenario. They tend to anticipate future incomings. And surprisingly most of the time they have to encounter those anticipated situations. At this point, you should continue to cheer yourself. So self-talk is necessary to unleash your true skills. We should continue praising ourselves. ‘I did great today”, “I am smart enough to get this job” I have prepared for this exam very well”. Such positive sentences help in uplifting self-esteem and you eventually do wonders. Maintain consistency and have a firm belief in yourself that you can do it. No matter how many times you fall you still can do it.

Use your sense of humour

Everyone loves to laugh. Laughing boosts your mood and uplifts your sadness and depression. Laughing costs nothing. What are you waiting for then? A good sense of humour is a true blessing. Laughing results in the release of some happy hormones from the body. It also helps in strengthening the immunity of the human body making you less vulnerable to diseases. That’s certainly the reason why comedians live more than normal human beings. Life is too short to repent for your mistakes. Give it a huge laugh and move on.

Have faith

Whenever we encounter adversity, we eventually lose faith. We think of the worst possible scenarios. Saying things like “ why it always happens to me?”, “Probably I am the bad luck”. Losing faith in yourself and God will make you sink into the depression. Hold on a little and you will be rewarded. We are impatient and want things to get done in no time. However, that’s not how the world works.

Celebrate success with positive mindsets

No matter how big or small your success is. Celebrate it and acknowledge your skills and aptitudes. Your surroundings matter a lot. A man is known by the company he keeps. Surround yourself with positive mindset people. Such people will never let you fall. They will always instil some positive part in you keeping you motivated.

That’s all for today’s blog post. Hope you guys enjoyed it.

In this modern era about every third person is suffering from anxiety and stress. And anxiety is the root cause of overthinking. We tend to ruminate about many things in our life. Some are negative thoughts and some are just worrisome thoughts. We can even redirect our thoughts to become useful for us. I will tell you some ways to reduce the habit of overthinking. Let’s start!

Become aware of your thoughts

Start by becoming aware of your thoughts. What is going on inside our heads? What are these thoughts all about? It is important to realise what are the things that are triggering overthinking in your mind. Is the workspace triggering it? Or is it the social space provoking it? try to predict the situation so that you can manage it. Self-improvement starts with self-acceptance. it is easier to identify your flaws but accepting them is a big hell of a task. A doctor can not prescribe medicine until he diagnoses the disease likewise the flaws cannot be overcome until they are accepted. Don’t let your thoughts become restricted to your mind only. Let them out and write them in a journaling book. Keeping a journal book is an effective way to let things out. Whenever you write those random things out on paper you become more aware of your limitations.

Daily activities

As the proverb goes, an empty mind is a devil’s house. We tend to overthink more when we have nothing to occupy the space of our brain. Whenever we have something on our mind to keep us going we are less likely to ruminate. It is highly suggested to keep ourselves busy with daily tasks. Like when going out for a walk keep yourself focused on the surroundings instead of thinking in your bubble. The key is you have to control the mind and don’t let the mind control you. While walking in the park, become observant and try to notice everything around you instead of becoming a prisoner to thoughts. Engage your mind so that it won’t be able to overthink. It is highly recommended to try novel things more often. We want our minds to be attentive. Trying out new things will force them to participate in the activities. For example, you can learn to drive a car, and you can also engage yourself in some ted talks or social gatherings, etc.

Scheduled worry

It is the best way to handle your brain. We can just tell our brain that we remember the worry and we know we have to handle it. Just delay the worry by writing it down in a journal and say I will worry about it at 2 pm or I will do it at night. In this way, your brain will become relaxed and will stop nagging you all the time for the particular task. Your brain likes boundaries and it is advised to keep it engaged.

Meditation

The ultimate way to control your mind is to meditate. Meditation is the only way by which you can tame your thoughts. Mediation has many benefits and it is one of them. Since meditation helps you achieve a relaxed, calmer, and serene mind, that is why it assists you in controlling your crazy chimp mind as well.

Concrete thoughts

Concrete things are all about the things that are practically achievable. Write down those things only that you think are practically achievable. For instance, complaining about why I can’t be happy like my friends. Instead of these gloomy thoughts try reminiscing about what I can do today to make myself happy. Look for more concrete things. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Thanks for reading!

How to Reduce Aggression in Children I Dealing with Aggressive Toddlers

Are you also tired of your children’s destructive personalities? Are you annoyed by the aggression and anger of your kid as well? The answer to these questions is that behind every action is buried unaware reasoning. As a parent, it should be considered why your kid behaves a certain way. What is the main reason behind it? Children impersonate their parents in every field. The first school of education for a kid is his/her parents. He /she learns everything from their parents. Parenting is defined as the set of instructions and regulations given by parents that helps a kid eradicate defects from his/her personality and become stronger in his character. They copy their parents and develop an instinct to learn. According to some surveys and research done, it is come known that the destructive behaviours of children are mostly due to the pressurised and noxious behaviours of parents. The destructive behaviours of children are induced by parents themselves.

watch this video in link of YouTube channel

Lack of communication is the key problem of noxious behaviour among children. Proper communication plays an integral role in grooming the personality of children. Parents who   tend to live in the past are unable to have proper talks with their kids. They tend to behave aggressively for the things that have been done to them in the past. Since they can not let them go, the children have to face the chaotic behaviour of their parents. Children impersonate their parents so they tend to copy their chaotic and aggressive behaviour as well. In this way, this behaviour becomes integrated into kids as well.

Whenever we feel like our kid has become aggressive or is throwing toys and some other stuff like this. It is an alarming situation that we should identify what is going on with her/him. To find out first look after your behaviours and manners. Because parental behaviour is reflecting upon their minds and thoughts. Accepting mistakes in front of your children is a prime step towards their better personalities. Some parents do not accept their mistakes in front of their children. Due to their egos and authoritarian style, they are unable to apologise for their mistakes. Since children copy their parents they tend to think that way as well. If my father is not admitting that certain fault then why would I accept my mistake? The kids will eventually behave in that manner. Parents stress themselves out by always finding faults within their children. They should keep this thing in mind that children are divine creations as well. And as the saying says To err is human; To forgive is divine. Always looking for the mistakes of your children will make you depressed and stressed out. Just thinking about their good personality traits will make you feel blessed and blissful. There are certain ways of talking to a kid. If you talk to them aggressively they will develop it as a habit to talk to every person aggressively and fiercely. And If you talk to them politely they will talk to everyone in a kind manner.

Constantly instilling your child’s brain with words like ‘you cannot do this”, “you are useless”, and “you do not know anything”. These negative approach sentences will make them feel useless. The physical damage inflicted upon children can be healed but the emotional damage can never be healed and results in long-lasting impacts on kids’ minds. It should be binding upon a parent to avoid using such gloomy conversations with their kids. The ultimate step of a parent is to lift his/her kids in every situation. Never let them down. Let them feel proud and glorious that you are their parents. In this current era parents and teachers barely have time to communicate with kids. Parents are busy with their work whereas teachers are always concerned about the completion of their syllabus. However, it should be taken into account that the character building of a kid is as important as other education. Parents should take out 15 minutes from the day to have a little conversation with their kids. Asking them if they have any problems or if they are doing well in their studies and sports will help children learn a positive aspect about their parents.
