When one door close another door opens

Many times in life, we feel discouraged when a door closes. An interview rejection, a crush saying no, or a lost job opportunity—life is full of similar circumstances where things are beyond our control. In such moments, we might think life has come to a standstill: “I won’t get another job,” or “There are no more opportunities left for me.” That feeling is natural.

But what if life really ended there? If you observe others, you’ll notice they’ve faced similar situations. When clouds cover the entire sky and the sun is hidden, it feels like the light is gone forever. But eventually, the sun rises again.
Think of a roadside merchant. Every person who visits their stall may not buy something. Many just check prices and move on. Does that mean the shopkeeper gives up? No—because they understand that every closed door isn’t the end.
A Stoic exercise that aligns with the idea “When one door closes, another opens” is Amor Fati, which means “love of fate.” It teaches us that whatever happens in life is, in some way, necessary and beneficial for our growth. Whether we perceive it as good or bad is up to us.
Another Stoic practice is indifference—focusing only on what matters and what is within our control. When life knocks us down, we have two choices: sit in the dust and weep about our fate, or accept the situation and move forward.
No matter how bad things seem or how hopeless we feel, one thing is always in our control: our attitude toward life. Our response, our thoughts, and how we choose to act define us.
Marcus Aurelius, in Meditations, wrote:
“A blazing fire makes flame and brightness out of everything that is thrown into it.”
This means every obstacle or loss is fuel for the fire of our growth. We must learn from these challenges, focus on what truly matters, and start looking for new opportunities. A closed door is not the end—it’s a chance to build Resilience.

if you stuck in crossroad in your career consider this

Do you face a challenge when you are stuck in your career path or at a crossroads in your career? When no one is there to answer all your questions.

then this video is for you.

https://youtu.be/5kjVhFXznfQ

I was stuck in the same situation when I felt my software development career was over and I wanted to become a functional consultant.

At that time, I was stuck because I did not stop my old mindset and did not adopt a new mindset.

When you ask your question with scenarios to ask another person, what is your opinion on this? and they are unable to answer your question.

Because they are not in a situation or they cannot see things from their point of view.

And for that reason, you feel stuck, have no guidelines, and have no idea what to do next.

The only thing you can do is step aside and think. You needed a quiet place to start asking questions.

In childhood, I got the right answer to questions. Our condition is that we always know the right answer will lead in the right direction or reach the right conclusion. But actually, that is not right. Answering the right question leads us in the right direction or helps us lead in the right direction.

When it comes to selecting a career, it is crucial to assess the potential benefits and drawbacks of each option. One way to do this is by asking yourself what the upside of a particular career is. By doing so, you can gain a better understanding of the opportunities and rewards that the career path may offer. For example, you may want to consider the potential for career advancement, financial stability, work-life balance, and other factors that are important to you. Taking the time to explore these different aspects can help you make a more informed decision about your future career.

One important aspect to consider when reflecting on your career is to also identify the potential drawbacks or downsides. In doing so, you can gain a more holistic understanding of your chosen profession and the challenges that may arise. Some possible downsides to consider may include job instability, long work hours, limited opportunities for advancement, or high stress levels. Additionally, it is important to acknowledge that what may be a downside for one person may not necessarily be the same for another, as individual experiences and perspectives can vary greatly. By taking the time to reflect on both the positive and negative aspects of your career, you can gain a more well-rounded perspective and make informed decisions about your professional development. Therefore, answering the question, “What is the downside of your career?” can be a valuable exercise in self-reflection and growth.

When making a decision, it is important to consider both the potential benefits and drawbacks. One question to ask oneself is whether they can live with the downside. However, it is also important to take a closer look at the downside and examine any potential ways to mitigate or overcome it. It may also be helpful to weigh the potential positive outcomes against the potential negative outcomes to determine if the decision is truly worth it. So, can you live with the downside? It’s a question worth asking, but it is by no means the only question to consider when making an important decision.

Most of the time, we took emotional decisions. And become rational that we must have to adopt that career.

But certainly, we have to think differently. We have to see things in their actual form. what they are.

Sometimes we live with fanaticism. We have to see and analyze what is actually right for us.

We also decide what skills you require to get this position. Do you already have these skills, or can you acquire them? how much time it takes to acquire these skills. Or these are possible.

To effectively address a problem or situation, it is necessary to take the time to pause and reflect. This involves not only thinking about the obvious questions, but also taking a holistic approach to the situation at hand. By doing so, one can gain a deeper understanding of the issue and identify potential solutions that may not have been apparent at first glance. Therefore, it is important to set aside ample time to contemplate and carefully consider all relevant aspects of the problem, so as to arrive at the best possible outcome.

Khole de parchawin wangon, ghum rahia man manhin

Jaan bolaan toon nale bolain, chup rehwaan man nahin

Jaan sowan toon nale sowein,

Bullah shoh ghar aaya sade, jindri ghol ghumayin

You know we used the word “Maast” Massatm. All translation I found equivalent word is intoxicated.

But do we intoxicated under some drug ?. We possible intoxicated under love or obsession.

Ishaq haqi is divine love is beyond my understanding. It is bigger thing like meera bai. or like Baba Bulleh to his spiritual master Shah anyat.

Mastam means obsessed so much he lost his identity, his self. He or she no care of any one . lost in deep thought, left the world in his or her love.

Khole de parchawin wangon, Ghum rahia man manhi.

Like cursed shadow my heart following you, My beloved.

The obsession is also creates intoxation. We lost ourselves in passion.

Jaan bolaan toon nale bolain, chup rehwaan man nahin

when I speak a talk about you, when I am silent but my heart not.

Jaan sowan toon nale sowein, jaan taraan toon rahin

You are in my sleep, During travel, I am thinking about you.

Ik Alif parho chutkara hayee. Focus on one task

I read the book from Qasir abbas. Main Ishaq or Woh.

After that my understanding of sufi peotry is started to change. Why these sufi couplet from 100 or years.

Something inside it. people love it. These couplet have some deep meaning. We translate or try to understand it according to our perception about life. Some thoughts they talk about god. Some times they talk about some lost love.

While travelling to office, I am not using mobile. Most of people I saw using whats app or wathcing movies on youtube or ticktock. That 30 minutes I started to observe my environment. Start to living in present moment. And the same time, My mind start to think. who am I. What I am doing. How I can improve my work. How things will be better in my life.

Couplet of baba bulleh shah came to my mind.

Ik Alif parho chutkara hayee.

Muslim consider Alif is for Allah. The first alphabet of Urdu, hindi, farsi. But some sufi saints talk Alif for Ishaq. they did not start Ishaq with Eyen Alphbat. They started Ishaq with Ialif. In arabic. Alif is used for First alphabet. But some they used Alif for infinite or million.

I am not going to discuss this as word used for Allah or not go into religious discussion.

I am considering it one task at time. When you doing something just focus one task at hand. If you did not have focus on one task. Possible you lost. In million task. Every task become distraction for other.

So Baba Bulleh shah, talks about one thought at time. Focus one idea at time. Focus on one thing at time.

Ik Alif pharo chuttkara hayee.

Means, if you want to achieve something or true liberation from stress. Pick one task and complete it. Forget about all other task.

One by one you finish all task. But the Idea of one is amazing.

Everything starts form one. It means, if you deliver something successfully, more work starts to appear.

Maktab ishaq a dastoor nirala dakah,

Usye chuti naa mili jis naye sabaq yaad kaya.

Interesting. What I learn from professional career. That When you do and complete some task with full concentration and able to close it or finish it. More work start to appear.

Ik Alif Pharo Chukkraa hayee.

Take the name of One. You will be liberated.

life has four seasons, but three already passed

I want to write on the topic of “life has four seasons, but three already passed”.a

When I started to write, this sufi quote attribute to Sultan Bhu came to into my mind

īmān salāmat har koī mañge ishq salāmat koī hū

jis manzal nuuñ ishq pahuñchāve īmān ḳhabar na koī hū

mañgan īmān sharmāvan ishqoñ dil nuuñ ġhairat hoī hū

ishq salāmat rakkhīñ ‘āhū’ deyāñ īmān dharoī hū

life has four seasons, three already passed mean, life is short, only we have to live in short of period of time.

There is biblical ledgend that longest lived man was Phrophet Noah. It said that he has near thousand year long life.

On god order, angel of death came to him take his soul back. He was prophet, he understand who is visitor, When angel of Death came, he was working in fields and that hot summer day. He asked angel of death, give me a few minute let me go and sit under the shadow of tree near by. Angel of death let him go. When he sat in shadow, and angel of death reach him to take his soul. Noah said to him, I found life as short as I was it was distance between a person who standing under sun and go under the shadow of tree.

Life is really short. We have to understand our purpose of life. Every one has different purpose of his life. Its up to us what we decided, what we want to do. In Dubai, while meeting with different people. I meet the Bangladeshi person. He used the word “ I saye app ko kush milaye gee”. It will make you happy. The purpose of life is what’s make you happy.

I am not religious person, other wise I told you that purpose of life is to worship of God. Actually he was saying what he thinks and works on his purpose of life.

Three season already passed. What we have enjoy that. We can enjoy present moment only when we make peace with ourselves.

Sufi did not believe in past. Sufi did not believe in future. Past can not be change. Future is not yet coming. We have only one season. That is present moment. To enjoy present moment we have to accept what we did in past. We are result of our past action. What we did yesterday we are facing it result. Now is the only time, only season, what we are doing today, we will face its result tomorrow.

Life is like day tight compartment. like ship standing in sea, water in all side. if we open the door of past, we will fill it with sorrow, regrets and guilt of miss opportunity . If we open the door of future, we will get worries, tension and anxiety . It is last season we are living in. Just it is. Make it beautiful. Do what we like, do what makes future beautiful.
