The whole night, I couldn’t sleep. Memories of the past and thoughts about the future kept coming into my mind. Sometimes I simply floated with the waves of thought. At other times, I gave too much power to certain memories, and I could feel the stress building inside me.
Then I tried to return to the present moment. A kind of Zen mindset came over me.
In the deep silence of the night, when everyone else was sleeping, I just lay there. The next two days felt long. I slept a lot and didn’t feel like doing anything.
But there was another problem: when I stayed completely in the present moment, time seemed to move painfully slowly. I would stare at the floor and listen to the constant hum of the split AC. What do you do with yourself in such moments?
If I stayed only in the present, time barely moved. But if I allowed myself to drift into thoughts—positive or negative—time passed quickly. The problem was that wandering too deeply into the past often left me sad, and sometimes even a little angry.
So I began wondering: What is the middle way?
Perhaps the middle way is not to stop thinking, but to become more conscious of which thoughts we choose to give our attention to.
Pick the good memories. Give them some space. Revisit them.
Count your blessings.
I remembered something from the book Chaali Din: why do we keep collecting the thorny memories from our past? Why do we hold on so tightly to the moments that hurt us while allowing the beautiful ones to fade away?
My wandering mind began to calm when I deliberately turned toward beautiful memories.
I started counting my blessings—the things life has given me, the things I have achieved, the people who have valued me, the moments when someone special gave me their time and attention.
Maybe we cannot stop the mind from wandering.
But perhaps we can choose the garden in which we allow it to wander.
Recently, I read a book by Indian author Chetan Bhagat, best known for inspiring the Bollywood film Three Idiots. The movie is based on one of his novels. His writing is particularly popular with the younger generation, and this book is no exception. It’s written in a straightforward, easy-to-understand style, and the 11 life lessons it presents are highly practical and applicable to anyone, not just in India but worldwide.
In the book, Bhagat discusses the concept of “Aukat,” a Hindi term that refers to one’s status or position in life. He emphasizes that challenging your status quo is no easy task—it requires significant effort. To rise above your current circumstances, you must strive for excellence, unlock your full potential, and become the best version of yourself.
Here are the 11 rules Bhagat shares for reaching your full potential:
Prioritize Fitness Bhagat initially neglected his health, only to realize later how much it affected his mind, body, and productivity. To become the best version of yourself, fitness must be a priority. This means committing to regular exercise, a healthy diet, and proper sleep. Maintaining discipline and resisting temptations in these areas will also help you grow in other aspects of life.
Master Your Emotions The author reminds us that those who control their emotions succeed, while those controlled by their emotions are at a disadvantage. Emotional intelligence is key—not only in managing your own feelings but in understanding others’. Without this awareness, we can easily be manipulated. Bhagat suggests analyzing past decisions to see if they were driven by emotion or reason, and then aiming to make future choices based on logic.
Put Yourself First Echoing motivational speaker Mel Robbins, Bhagat encourages readers to prioritize their own needs and goals. Setting boundaries is essential to avoid overextending yourself in people-pleasing activities. Ultimately, if you don’t look out for yourself, no one else will.
Learn New Languages Learning a language beyond your mother tongue, especially one like English, can open many doors. Bhagat stresses the importance of English proficiency in modern India, but the principle applies globally. Start with basic vocabulary, consume media in that language, and practice speaking it until it becomes second nature.
Control Dopamine Dopamine, the chemical associated with pleasure, can either be triggered by unhealthy habits like drinking or smoking or by positive achievements. Bhagat urges readers to focus on the latter—set small, achievable goals and let the satisfaction of accomplishment drive your dopamine release.
Chase Hard Things Achieving big goals is hard, but that’s what makes the success so rewarding. Bhagat quotes, “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.” Instead of fearing challenges, embrace them—they are what lead to real growth.
Eat the Elephant One Bite at a Time Big goals can seem overwhelming, but if you break them down into smaller steps, they become manageable. Bhagat uses the analogy of eating an elephant—impossible all at once, but doable one bite at a time. This approach helps you focus on progress and stay motivated.
Be Adaptive Adaptability is essential for survival, both personally and professionally. Bhagat points to cockroaches as one of the most adaptable creatures on Earth, surviving through constant change. To thrive, we must continually question our beliefs, ideas, and methods, adapting as necessary.
Connect with People Networking is key to success. Successful people tend to build strong relationships based on mutual benefit. Bhagat encourages readers to improve their social skills, meet new people, and approach relationships with a win-win mindset.
Take Ownership Blaming circumstances or other people for failures won’t get you anywhere. Bhagat emphasizes the importance of taking full responsibility for your life. Successful people make things happen through accountability, taking ownership of their goals and actions.
Earn, Save, and Invest Earning money is only the first step to financial independence. Bhagat stresses the importance of saving and, more importantly, investing wisely. Instead of spending on luxury items, focus on growing your wealth through smart investments.
These 11 principles, while aimed at Indian society, are universally relevant. By applying them, you can unlock your potential and become the best version of yourself.
Hi friends, Today I am going to share the book summary of “Traveler Gift” by Andy Andrews.
This is the transformation story of a person who tried to quit his life, but during qoma, he met seven biblical and historical figures who gave him different advice, and after awakening, he implemented those seven lessons in his life to improve his quality of life.
The story of a person who is in his mid-40s is about almost failure in everything. His daughter was in the hospital, full of debt. He was in desperate need of money for his only daughter, but due to stress and aggression, he was fired from his job. In total disappointment, he started to think that, due to his inability to meet the needs and expectations of his family, he should quit his life. He thinks that is the only way to provide a better future for his family. After his death, his wife will find a good husband, and that person will take care of his girl. On a cold winter night, he hit his car into a tree. As a result, he went to Comma.
During this period, he met many historical and biblical figures, and he even met himself in the future.
All these people gave him their wisdom. I am going to share this wisdom. And if we apply this wisdom to our lives, our future is bright, regardless of our age.
Lesson 1: Harry S. Truman: The buck stops here.
David met first with Harry Truman. Harry Truman talks about how the first lesson is to accept the responsibility of life.
You have to accept the resuscitation of the choice you made in the past. Responsibility for who you are now is a result of your past choices. Our actions are directed by our thinking. If we want to have a different future, we have to make different choices. We have different ways of thinking and acting. We stop blaming our present situation on our parents, friends, wives, and relatives. We have to accept responsibility for our thoughts and actions. We consider every problem an opportunity to grow and learn.
The past is gone, but the future is still in our hands.
Lesson 2: King Solomon: I will seek wisdom.
In his second visit, David meets biblical figure King Solomon. He advised David to seek
wisdom.
How to prepare for the future is by seeking wisdom and taking responsibility.
Most of the time, we took inspiration from the people with whom we spent time. If we take
company of cursed and complaining people, we also develop a victim mindset.
It is a common saying that we are the average of five people with whom we are associated in life.
We have to guard our association. Intentionally or unintentionally, we follow our mentor in life. For example, Solomon explains that his father was his mentor. Your teacher, uncle, actor, or any other figure will possibly be mentioned. So seek wisdom from their lives.
We have to take the present problems as challenges, and facing these challenges will result in a better future. We have to increase our wisdom by reading books, watching YouTube videos, listening to podcasts, and observing and studying the lives of successful people.
Seeking wisdom to overcome the thoughts, doubts, and fears in life
Lesson 3: Col. Joshua Chamberlain: I am a person of action.
Third wisdom. David got it from Joshua Chamberlain, who taught David that the only solution to all problems is to take action.
Take charge and take action. Even if we do not have all the necessary resources, we can still take action. What is best possible? We have to. Many times, we did not take action and stayed in the same location. In life, we take decisions quickly and do not let change happen. They take decisions and start taking actions. With these actions, they will no longer be afraid.
They did not fear other people’s opinions, gossip, idle chatter, or all those things.
For men of action, failure is a myth. Failure exists only for the person who quits.
Lesson 4: Christopher Columbus: I have a decided heart
The fourth lesson David learned from Columbus was to have a detached heart and ignore what people think about him.
The truth is the truth, whatever the situation. The truth is never dependent on the opinions of others.
Many people did not make efforts to change due to fear of the opinions of others and were doomed to mediocrity.
If you worry about what other people think of you, which results in you having more confidence in them than in yourself, poor is the man whose future depends on the opinions and permission of others. The only solution to criticism is that you will die doing nothing.
To achieve something, you must have a decisive heart. Many people fail because they lack a decisive heart. They are not committed from the heart.
“Most people fail at whatever they attempt because of an undecided heart. Should I? Should I not? Go forward? Go back? Success requires the emotional balance of a committed heart.
“Getting started, getting finished—both ends of a journey require a demonstration of passion.”
Passion only comes from the heart. Its product is a heart decision.
Lesson 5: Anne Frank: Today I will choose to be happy.
In his next visit, David meets Anne Frank. She provides her way to always stay happy, regardless of the situation.
Whatever condition we have or whatever challenges we are facing, it’s up to us to stay happy.
What ever is in us that takes us to the top, instead of what color or race we belong to?
Happyness is the result of certain thoughts and activities, which are actually chemical reactions.
In body. So we have to focus on these thoughts, which makes us happy.
The smile is our calling card.
Many times in life, we have to face injustices based on color, race, and nationality. But absolutely, what matters is what is inside us. It’s like a balloon; whatever its color or size, it goes up due to what’s inside it. It does matter what we think. Similary, we have to choose what we think to be.
Lesson 6: Abraham Lincoln: I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit.
On his next trip, David meets the present Abhraim Licon. Lincon described how important it is to have a forgiving spirit.
People make mistakes, either intentionally or unintentionally. Hurt us. If we are in a leadership position, we have to deal with people. We can use their strength only when we are able to forgive them. They make mistakes and make wrong decisions.
Lincon takes David to the graveyard. It shows that our hearts are like graveyards. You have to bury disappointment, anger, frustation, misbehavior, and other things here. As in the past, all events that occurred in the past are now dead; bury them.
The only way to become a good husband, father, or leader is to forgive others.
In a similar way, when someone hurts us or does not meet our expectations, we become angry. When we were going to sleep, those moments came into our minds. And we did not get good sleep.
There are two types of forgiveness we require: forgiving ourselves for our mistakes and failures Why? Because, instead of focusing on future outcomes, we were struck by the past. The second is unconditional forgiveness for others.
We all have failures in life and in business, but we all have success in our lives. But if we are still thinking about failure, we will not stay happy due to our success. So to enjoy the present moment, better sleep, and the company of our friends, we need to be forgiven.
Licon also advises David about the quest for power. Before that, Davide, think that power is wrong. But Licon told him that power in the right hand results in good things. If you have power, then you can help your management deliver more.
Lesson 7: Gabriel the Archangel: I will persist without exception
The next lesson that Ponder learned was from the archangel Gabriel.
Archangel Gabriel told David that he would persist without exception.
Successful people always focus on the outcome. There is a possibility that the process is not enjoyable, long, and boring, but they pressurize without exception only due to their focus on outcome.
Gabriel asked David, “Is he a man of faith or a man of fear? It means that in our lives, there are two main motivational forces: belief that I can do it or fear. We do things out of fear of something, like being fired, having someone else win, or being shown less than us. fear that one day we will be empty. Both are different.
We have to be men of reason. Why do we do things that we do? We definitely have reasons.
Gabriel, it’s up to us how circumstances affect us. Circumstances are excuses for poor men. It is the wise man who recognizes opportunities and uses them to his advantage.
To be a wise man, study, get lessons from the circumstances, and apply that knowledge to get a brighter future. A depressed person usually overthinks what will happen to him; instead, he focuses on what he actually wants and how he will achieve it.
A depressed person faces the situation and overthinks,
Average people usually compare themselves to others and achieve something, but successful people also compare themselves to their true potential. What they can achieve if they realize their full potential
Hi friends, I hope you like the book summary.
So it’s our time; whatever the condition we have, we have to take charge, take responsibility, be happy with what we have, whatever the condition we are, and have a dedicated heart. and take action, because without action, nothing is accomplished in life. The desire to work with others and for the betterment of ourselves is forgiven; there is a graveyard in our hearts where we bury our anger, expectations, and other things others said to us. If we still think about what others say or think about us, we will not reach where we want to reach. We have to be persistent, without exception. In the case of difficulties, frustation, and disheartness, we have to focus on the outcome. There are two types of motivation in life. Fear and faith Focus on faith. faith in the certainty of the future

The Pomodoro Technique is a highly effective time management method designed to stop wasting time and boost productivity. Developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, it involves breaking your work into focused, 25-minute intervals called “Pomodoros,” followed by a 5-minute break. After completing four Pomodoros, you take a longer break of around 15-30 minutes. By structuring your tasks into these time blocks, the Pomodoro Technique helps you maintain concentration, eliminate distractions, and maintain a sense of urgency. This approach not only maximizes your productivity but also prevents burnout by ensuring regular breaks. It’s a simple yet powerful way to tackle tasks, manage time efficiently, and ultimately achieve more while making the most of your valuable time. Hey, guys hope you are doing great. Welcome back to the consultant mindset. Everyone in their lives must have come across this question once in a lifetime. Why are we here? What’s the meaning of our life? What’s the mere purpose? The question of human existence is quite different for every religion. Every human is curious to find the answer to this question. What’s the point of our existence in this world? Many humans on this planet are living a meaningless life. They don’t know what to do with their lives. They are just spending their lives in constant struggles. They are spending their lives doing the bare minimum. They aren’t aware of their purpose in life. Many people have come across this thought quite a several times now. If you think like this then you are not alone in this situation. It is completely normal.
First off first, it is necessary to determine the correct definition of a meaningful life. Every individual has his perspective. They perceive life in their way. Not all of us have the same motto for life. A meaningful life is a construct of coherence, happiness and satisfaction. There can be different ways of a meaningful life. Every individual has his passion. Some want to excel in their academic career whereas some want to pursue in their jobs or businesses. A meaningful life refers to how are we going to spend our life. Either we spend it doing things of our passion or spend it wasting time on other garbage.
Life becomes meaningful when it has a purpose. When we become destined to achieve certain goals in our lives, life gets directed eventually. Having goals and purpose and striving for them day and night lets us put some major efforts to strive through the situation. Finding meaning in one’s life is a personal journey. It requires some time but gradually streamlines you towards a meaningful life. Where you enjoy doing your thing instead of dragging it. A purposeful life lets you overcome any difficulty with much ease. Since you choose a life of your choice you become capable to cope with its hardships as well. How can we establish a meaningful life? A meaningful isn’t related to a successful life. If you’re having a satisfied mindset, you feel happy and contented and you’re good to go. People have this misconception that a happy life is somehow related to a meaningful life. You can be successful and live a meaningless life at the same time. For example, a person who is earning less but is doing a job of his interest is better than a person who’s a business tycoon and isn’t passionate about his work. It’s good to have less earnings with a passionate job. Develop a Passion or Find Your Passion Anyone has some passion in their lives. While some are just living a trash life doing nothing at all. how can we determine our passion? Well, certain things in our lives make us feel happier and contented. It can either be some art or business etc. we just have to find that happiness and satisfaction. Some people find their happiness at a very old age but it is never too late to find out the exact purpose of your life. If you don’t have any passion, strive for one or find one. Develop Relationships Sometimes we develop such relationships in our lives to whom we become willing to devote our entire lives. There should be the existence of such people in our lives. We love seeing those people. Our unfinished love for them makes us do anything for them. We cannot imagine our lives without them. We try to live for them. We try to focus on ourselves for them. It is necessary to find some meaningful people in our lives that will let us move forward always. Life is like the ride of a camel stranded in a desert striving barely under the dazzling rays of the sun. if we want to keep going, stay connected to ones who never care to back off. People who are always willing to push you through your hard times. Keep lifting you no matter how hard you fall. Do you guys have such gems in your lives? Let me know in the comment section. Monitor Your Mood Motivation is entirely dependent on your mood. You are not always in the mood to get things done. Since we are not machines there are times when we become extremely exhausted and become unwilling to do anything. At that time, you must not forgive and indulge yourself in other activities. Some random activities like games, exercise, reading books etc can divert your attention. after some relaxation, you again become strong enough to combat problems for your passion. Monitoring Passion As You Age The interest of an individual changes throughout life. We have different interests at different stages of life. For instance, older people are more likely to indulge themselves in fun activities. They have trouble establishing new relationships but gradually they develop some really fun activities and continue to pursue them as their passion. These are some ways which can help you direct your lives towards a specific goal. That’s all for today. Stay tuned for more amazing stuff.

Hey, guys hope you are doing great. Welcome back to our channel consultant mindset. Life can be bleak, even pitched dark. Whenever you lose a job, end a relationship or have challenges and hardships you face the gloomy waves of despair. We cannot avoid them but can develop the courage to face them. Despite having challenges and hardships, we fail to achieve a specific goal in our life. This makes us feels demotivated and stressed out. How do you feel if you fail to achieve that peculiar goal in which you have been incorporating constant efforts? Let me know in the comment sections about your feeling.
There are some times in our lives when we don’t feel like putting much effort into our things. The feeling of losing our goal and giving up kicks in. Feelings of disappointment, despair, regret, dismay and sadness make you feel unease. Such emotions are the signal to initialize the first step towards your revolution. You can modify your defeat by taking the first step towards change.
Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain [and] difficulty.
Theodore Roosevelt
Expecting to win without facing any hurdles and obstacles is just a mere misconception. We cannot have the fruit until we water the plant. The watering of plants is the hardships and struggles that we give them. What are those initiatives that can be taken to keep up with courage and self-confidence?
Pause Everything
I am aware of this guilty feeling that we feel whenever we fail or we lose someone close to us. We begin to consider ourselves responsible for all the chaos. however, that is not an appreciating step. We will have to face the ultimate circumstances to handle ourselves. Pausing everything means the project that is currently under construction should be delayed for some time. The events that occur with boosted energies and zeal yield tremendous results. What are your opinions about it? There is a huge difference between those works carried out in low-level energies and high-level energies. The work done with great might has heavenly conclusions. What are the benefits of pausing your work? Pausing your project gives you the space to fulfil your energy and regain those energy boosters. The main reason behind the feeling to quit is to find a way to escape despair, frustration and stress.
“Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgment will be surer, since to remain constantly at work will cause you to lose power of judgment. Go some distance away, because then the work appears smaller, and more of it can be taken in at a glance, and lack of harmony and proportion is more readily seen.”
– Leonardo da Vinci
Whenever you feel like quitting, never let that emotion overcome you. Instead try pausing things that are the cause of disappointment, despair and stress in your life.
Create a Distraction
Why do we feel like quitting? There can be many reasons behind it. One of the reasons is the saturation of our brains. Our brain becomes saturated and we become unable to comprehend even the easiest of information. Giving yourself a break helps you induce a major comeback. Giving your mind a break helps you restore that lost energy. You can use that time to travel, watch TV, read books etc. You can opt for ways by which you can replenish your energies. Meanwhile, you can go for small tasks that release a sense of satisfaction in your mind. Instead of pounding your head on the same thing, it is better to leave it for some time. You can finish some of your unfinished tasks by utilizing your spare time. The feeling of accomplishment after achieving those tasks will lift your self morale and raises your self-confidence. When you choose to focus on small things, you get the morale to combat the trivial matter with great motivation. Such trivial tasks serve the purpose to kill two birds with one stone. They can help you fulfil your incomplete task and can also help you get over the fact that you can achieve your goal at the end of the day.
Practice Self-Compassion
To err is human; to forgive is divine. Whenever you make a mistake, you feel like punishing yourself. Every mistake makes you want to punish yourself. The guilty feeling does not let you be at ease. Your instinct makes you penalize yourself. This kind of negative self-talk makes you feel bad about yourself. It makes you think that you are not enough and you are not worthy. You should give yourself a rest for just giving it a try. Always boost yourself for trying. Try again is the only way by which you can achieve your goal. Trying constantly makes you firm in this context that you have the potential to do anything.
I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is over self.
Concluding the whole discussion, it is okay to feel that way. We can just overcome every tough situation by relaxing ourselves. A machine needs a restart to work properly, then why not humans? Hope you guys enjoyed today’s topic. Stay tuned for more interesting post bye-bye.

Hey guys, I hope you are doing great. Welcome to the Consultant Mindset. Everyone is striving to fulfill their necessities. All of us are working day and night to get our things done. When was the last time that you thought of focusing on yourself? When was it when you realised this fact that you need some kind of self-care as well? There is nothing wrong with thinking about yourself and fulfilling your necessities. Whenever we do something for ourselves, people perceive it as arrogant or self-obsessive behaviour. However, it aint true. Doing something for yourself and rewarding oneself with rewards is a form of self-love.
What Do We Mean By Focusing on Yourself?
Focusing on yourself means one should prioritize his needs and basic desires. Giving up on your necessities due to some critiques aint worth it. The main factor of jealousy doesn’t let people see anyone live in peace. Focusing on oneself means that you are treating yourself like a royal. You are rewarding yourself at the end of the accomplishment of every task. This is what we call self-love. According to psychology, you cannot love someone unless you start loving yourself. That indicates it is necessary to love yourself to love people closer to you. When giving yourself a slave treatment, how do you expect to give your loved ones a royal treatment?
There can be no failure to a man who has not lost his courage, his character, his self-respect, or his self-confidence. He is still a King.
The biggest portion of focusing on oneself involves self-care and self-love. You may feel selfish and self-absorbed but start to think about it from a different angle. Today’s society is merely involved in pleasing people. They don’t know what they want. They are just running in the constant race of pleasing people with no ending line at all. They are just living their lives according to the desires of the masses. The true self of the majority has vanished. When someone criticises us, we start to change ourselves without even realising that we are going towards a negative development. How can we practice self-love?
Self-love needs acceptance. Giving oneself enough space to accept his true self is a positive development. It leads you to accept your flaws and develop a love for yourself. When we set standards for a perfect human being, we become less likely to achieve them. To err is human; to forgive is divine. Humans are not bots, so they are imperfect. Imperfections are the identifiers that make us distinguished from the bots. Developing empathy and compassion for oneself leads you to be empathetic towards others. If you are treating yourself right, you are gonna treat people surrounding you with kindness and sympathy.
Why is it Important to Focus on Yourself?
Focusing on oneself makes you realise your self-worth. It increases your self-confidence ad boosts your self-morale. You start to become the ultimate beast. You start realising what you deserve. You set boundaries and standards. Self-confidence does not allow you to settle for less.
Every human has four endowments – self-awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom… The power to choose, to respond, to change.
So, have you ever pondered about what you want in your life? Have you ever realised what kind of lifestyle you are living? Are you living according to people or yourself? This is a dire need of today’s era to realise this fact that what we want with our lives.
Make Sure You are Seeking What You Want
There are times in our lives when we acquire opinions from our elders or friends. You can just take their guidance to guide you through the way. But it does not mean that you get swayed away from your desired destination. When listening to others, we somehow manage to get ourselves trapped in their words. We start doing what they recommend us to do unintentionally. However, asking for opinions and doing the whole thing according to them are two different perspectives. Make sure to stick to your desires.
Let People Feel How They Feel
If people close to you are upset about your self-focus attitude, then let them be alone for a while. Let them process their emotions. We cannot make everyone happy now. We have to establish ourselves. They will feel strange for a while, but when they will get to know about your boundaries; they will eventually get used to it.
Be Kind to Yourself
Give yourself enough room to grow. Reserve time for yourself and carry out your hobbies in that time. There will be times when you gonna have some negative thoughts about yourself. Never let them move you away from your destination. Be kind to yourself and use your spare time for your self-care.
Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.
To please people, we cannot make ourselves deny them. For instance, if someone invited us to a party and he didn’t feel like going, then he probably should have enough courage to refuse them. But that is not how it goes. We think more about people than think about ourselves. We are worried about what they think about us. In all this amusement, we have forgotten ourselves and are living a life of what others want us to be. Most of us are reflections of what people want us to be.
Concluding this whole discussion, focusing on your self-care and self-love plays an integral role in your development. That’s all for today’s video. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more interesting videos.
Hey guys welcome to consultant mindset. I hope you guys are doing great. Overthinking is quite common these days. We tend to overthink every scenario. What does overthinking mean? Overthinking is when a person tends to ruminate over things repeatedly. The biggest assay mark of overthinking is that it is unproductive and it does not yield any good to your health. An overthinker often feels disrupted by even the smallest of criticism. He tends to pound his head upon that particular criticism. Overthinking does not let you do anything novel. Overthinking makes you stagnant in one place. Your skills and time get wasted eventually. Overthinking inflicts stress upon your mind as well. Constantly thinking about the same things all over again not only drains your mental health but also makes you feel frustrated. stress is good but everything is suitable in its limit. A small amount of stress lets you feel bounded to do a certain task. Whereas the extreme amount of stress disrupts your mental health. So you should know the difference between the amount of stress. Why overthinking is common these days?
Overthinking can be provoked by different factors. Such as people having anxiety problems already may find it easier to develop overthinking habits. Whereas people suffering from depression and other mental issues may find it easy to develop overthinking as well. The fear of getting hurt by someone does not let them be at peace.
Overthinking is just unpaid permanent employment. although It makes you feel agitated and sleepless yet, unavoidable. In short, it has become a necessary evil. Once you become addicted to it, there’s no way back. In today’s era, many people are already suffering from mental health issues so, it is quite easier to develop overthinking habits.
There is a remedy to every problem. Let’s just find some easy ways to overcome this self-destructing habit.
How can we lessen overthinking?
Finding Distractions
well, there’s just this popular saying that an empty mind is a devil’s workshop. Likewise, when we tend to stay inactive and useless, we become more prone to overthinking. We tend to ruminate over even the smallest of things. Instead of doing nothing, it is better to indulge yourself in other life activities where you can remain distracted. Distractions are quite necessary to keep yourself busy with productive things. For example, you can find those things that interest you. Reading books, cooking, and playing video games or sport helps you stay away from unnecessary thoughts. Find those things and hobbies that make you feel more motivated and relieved. In this way, you will be away from overthinking for quite some sometime.
Try Helping Others
An overthinker always thinks that he is not good enough. He always thinks bad stuff about himself and ruminates over such thoughts like “Maybe I’m not good enough”, ‘maybe they are offended by my words” etc. Always thinking negative things and not giving yourself some space is the biggest flaw of overthinking. Helping others is a way by which you can think good about yourself. You feel relieved that you are doing something good with your life. An overthinker needs constant reassurance and can get those by helping the needy. Helping others gives off a feeling of accomplishment and cheerfulness. Try doing it more often.
Recognise Your Accomplishments
If there is not anyone to lift you. Then you should become your hero. Constant reassurances hold significant importance in the life of an overthinker. If nobody recognises your accomplishment, then becomes your change. Take a notebook and write down your accomplishments on it. The accomplishments don’t need to be humongous. The smallest of success gives a feeling of calmness and serenity. For example, if this week you get to finish your all delayed tasks then it is an accomplishment. Write it down and praise yourself.
Try Taking Actions
An overthinker develops his imaginary world. He tends to remain in that domain and avoids the rest of the world. He tends to give off answers to every question in his head only. He never actually wants to face the crowd. Try taking action instead of being stuck in one place. Being stagnant in one place makes you feel algal and rotten. The only one who can break the web of overthinking for you is you. None can do that for you. You have to work hard to bring change.
