Every thing in start is inconvenient

I left my laptop mouse at home. I forget to pick form laptop table. It’s very difficult to use mouse pad on laptop. I did not habit to use it. From long before laptop, I am using computer since 1999. I used to mouse. Today I facing difficulty to operate.

There are two ways to approach this problem. Which is actually not problem at all.

Near market out of office,  I have to purchase a new mouse, possible cheaper one.

And second one is accept this as it is and try is work on laptop without mouse.

So I decided to work on second approach. Because when I reach home, what I do with second mouse. It will become waste.

Initially its very difficult. I force myself to work with touch pad. I usually disabled it because my pam touch the mouse pad. With the effort of two hours I started to comfortable with touch pad.

I feel change is really inconvenient in starting, when we start comfortable with it, it become our habit.

It said that if you do anything forcefully for 21 day, it become your second habit.

Age is just a number

I found my age on companies portal is 1994. I don’t know, as outsource consultant, they mistakenly added it. Entry was intentionally. Whatever is the reason, with respect to that my age is 29 years.

As I surprised, that actually I found right, My maturity is not exceeded from 29 years.

It is good, because I am still young, I am look and work 10 year younger then my age.

But sad same time, I feel, that I did not grow from the age of 29 years. I need to work on way.

Age is in mind of person. But that true with the age we are die day by day. The energies are going low day by day.

Need to more focus on fitness.

I already reduce my diet. Almost half. But with this my energy level starts to decrease.

I did not start exercise properly. But start half burpee. I cannot take pushups. I feel pain in joint of my right hand. On normal move I did not found any pain. So I have to do other exercise.

When I reach to 100 burpee without push up step. I will start adding other exercise.

The point is just start, start small, but start today.

What is personal finance.

I heard that the Indus script is actually record of baniya. His balance sheet or some notes about payment. Right or wrong. One thing is confirm. Finance is since from dawn.

I meet with Indian friend in Dubai. He belongs to baniya family. He manage every rupee. He was rich person.

Financially very sharp. He told me from last 10 year, he was maintaining excel sheet for every pony he spent. And he told me, before that he was unorganized. But when he start maintaining where every rupee he getting rich and financially independent.

My father is 72 years old, He also maintain one excel sheet for his spending, saving. He also follow the envelop system. Dave Ramsey also talks about this.

The fundamental of personal finance is understand, how much you spent, where you spent, then you make a budget.

First  and most important thing is not every rupee you spent. Until you don’t clear about it. You cannot make budget.

I am using google sheet. Just put four column

First column with Date.

Second column, what amount you spent.

Third column, about it is cash or credit.

Fourth column, category or classification, for example grocery, Dinning out, Traveling.

Fifth column  is about comments

Sixth column is optional, but ask, is it necessary or we can save this amount.

Update this excel / google sheet on daily bases. Follow this religiously.

After one month, you have clear understanding where amount going, where you spent. After that you will be able to move next step. Like budgeting and balance sheet.

Its important to take necessary time for complete any assign task.

I was talking with Analia( Project manager), she told me to go slow. If you go fast, there will be chances for mistakes. She said, I am tend to be go fast. There is no hurry.

Its easy to understand others, how they think about you. Just listen to them what they are saying. You can judge a lot about them. Its not important, how they think about you. But it important to note that how your manager thinks about you. It will reflect on your appraisal. It will reflect how management treat you.

What I assess, after conversation to my manager.  She things, I can do things, I am putting efforts. But due to proving myself. I am going to complete thing early or try to meet deadlines. And overlook the review. And as result my work is comes with error.

If I look back, Similar comments I have, ” Kaam zadha karta haye per masaly bhi zadha atye haeen”. He delivery more work but same time issues are highlighted.

You know, if you go Indian Pakistani restaurant. They usually have already cooked food. But when you take order. They told you we are cooking, just wait. Some time they cook actually. But most of the time, they have already 80 percent prepared. They let you wait. Then you got food after certain amount, You think it is freshly cooked and feel satisfaction.

Most of the time, we have to work according to satisfaction of other person.

What is take away from this post.

  • Never agree immediately.
  • Sharp your neoglaciation skills.
  • Get reasonable time.
  • Complete your task with in actual time.
  • Revise your work.
  • Review your task with third person eye.
  • Never take feedback personally.
  • Based on feedback, make a check list. Built a common pattern.
  • This check list or pattern, will help you in future task.
  • Try to learn from your mistake. What will happen only happens this time, this will not repeat.

Re-occurring thoughts how to deal with them

Many times in life, we unable to took decisions. Either we are not prepared, or some politics happens.

We suffer from other people decision. Or thing which we did not want happens to us. And things we want are goes to someone. And these regards, suffering and questions came into our mind. And suffering and pain associated with these memories and thoughts.

Similar to these memories also coming into my mind. On analysis, I found strange patterns.

When my mind is empty, these memories haunt me.

These memories haunt me and remind me you are loser. Sometime these occurs when I was extremely busy and under work pressure. And remind me, I lost once. And this will goes in same way. And I used this in my favor, I lost once, but I did not let it happen today.

Sometimes I feel, I love these memories. Because I am trying to justify that due to that reason I took some decisions.

Sometime I feel, I love these memories, because it make me to feel miserable. And miserable the condition which helps me to provide love and pity for myself. I need love and care for me.

Actually I love these feelings and memories. And help me to keep busy.

But now I realize that I am no more need these feeling, guilt and sufferings.

It actually keep me busy. It like Sudhu. He used to drink Bangh and drugs to keep his mind silent. Because when these memories are come back, these will encourage to do something and improve.

I can use these times for better usage. I need to clear my mind. To use for better thoughts and improvements.

To occupy I used three strategy.

Stop resist, there is rule, whatever you resist, persist. If these memories comes in my mind. I stop resisting them. Let it come. Its natural.

Stop feeling for self. Feeling sorry for myself, no more serving me. Accept it and let it go.

I start writing my goals, and like Daymond John I start reminding me these goals, whenever these memories and feeling starts to emerge. I forcefully start thinking about my goals.

My friends, these memories and feelings are part of us, not all of us, we are above them. We cannot get rid of these memories, but we can avoid suffering.

Remember “Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional”.

What happen to us, we can not change it, but still suffering from us is not us. Best way to accept it, stop resist it and start focusing on new goals.

Hey, guys hope you are doing great. Welcome back to the consultant mindset. All of us have dreams. We dream of some things at some point in our lives. I’m sure you guys must have some goals as well. There is no doubt in it that we all have great dreams and want to achieve them. But some people begin to face challenges and hardships in fulfilling their dreams. How do we overcome those challenges?

We may face them at every point in our lives. Self-doubt is something that slowly poisons your elf esteem. It extracts your ability to achieve anything. It makes you think that you are not capable of doing anything. Having such thoughts make you vulnerable to failure and low self-esteem. Why would you overthink every step of the process? Why can’t we just trust the process and go with the flow?

Our body is mainly controlled by our brains. What do we want to do? What do we want to achieve in our life? All of such questions are controlled by our brains. Your body listens to the command of your brain. In short, it’s all about the mindsets. In the end, the thing that matters is how strong your mindset is. Your body mimics the action of the brain. If you feel sad, your body starts releasing some hormones that will make you feel sorrowful. Whenever you are happy and excited, you feel an enormous adrenaline rush that makes you feel happy. That is how the brain and body work in coordination. If your mindset is all about self-doubts and low self-esteem, then you never gonna achieve anything in your life. You have to change your mindset. Thinking that you won’t be able to face this hardship and difficulty will eventually make you not face it. If you have confidence in yourself, you can even conquer the world. Successful people have the strongest mindsets. You should always lift yourself by saying if they can do it then why not me? 

How is self-doubt worse than failure?

It is definitely because of this fact that whenever we fail we know we have given it a try. We have even prepared ourselves to go towards our goal. But when we have self-doubts we are less likely to achieve anything. Having self-doubts means that you don’t have tried even to head towards your dreams. You are just sitting there doing nothing. Overthinking the useless stuff that I can’t do it. Many low self-esteemed people have this illness that they don’t even give a try. For example, if I assign them a difficult, they will just quit before even trying. Being scared of the outcomes and failures, they will just give up. 

However, failures teach us many things. They make us formidable enough to combat the self-doubts and low self-confidence. They make us rise stronger even. I don’t get over the fact that why people are afraid of failure. Most successful people have achieved things after facing tons of failures.  Like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and many more prominent personalities. They got success after defeating tons of failures. 

Whenever we are doing something big the doubting process is normal to occur. We may face self-doubts and feelings of low accomplishment but the focus is not to let this fear stop us. You may feel anxious; you may feel stressed out; you may feel afraid and frightened. All of these emotions are normal and are the body’s responses to a stressed-out condition. The only thing that has to be understood is to never let these emotions stop you from achieving your goals. Doubting one’s ability is quite normal but running away from them isn’t. You should have the courage to deal with those self-doubts. 

How can we Answer those Self-Doubts?

The best possible way to answer those self-doubts is to face them. Head towards those goals that are making you doubt your abilities. Just give those goals a wild answer by achieving them. That these goals are not enough to validate my skills and aptitudes. Often we doubt our personalities mainly because of our past experiences but we should not let our past ruin our future. The beauty of sunshine illuminating the whole planet is matchless. Likewise, success acts as a light in the ocean of failures. making you feel a sense of accomplishment and victory. Failures play a role in the establishment as long as they are considered a part of success. If they are considered as an endpoint, then one is unable to prevail through the journey of success.

The most important step in believing in yourself is to first realize your abilities. What have you got? And then rest your beliefs in those aptitudes. Explore your true abilities and make a change. When you get to know about your potential, the next step is to believe in them. The initial step will be difficult but as soon as you start you will make through it. Exploring oneself is necessary. Firstly explore what you want in your life? Then build yourself to achieve them.

Whenever you challenge yourself to achieve something you become more prone to attain your goals. Things become interesting whenever you try to take them as a challenge. There is a famous saying that “ every journey begins with a single step” it is necessary to take a step. It is quite important to jump into the crowd. How can you predict the outcome when you have never even jumped into the race? Putting yourself into that position is necessary to realise the importance of winning the race. Believe in yourself 

Believing in yourself is one heck of a task. All of the challenges and hardships we face in our lives have to be handled with proper care. This is the bitter reality of this world that we have to face things by ourselves. None will come to save us in our hardships. We have to encounter our problems. And facing these problems will make us even more formidable and steadfast. Many people tend not to believe in themselves. They think that they cannot achieve anything in their life. Why do they think like that? It is just because they have low self-esteem and self-confidence. They think they do not have the potential to succeed in life. They just envy other people and their successes. If you are still unaware of your dreams, start making ones. Ask yourself this question. What do I want in my life?

Make Sacrifices 

For long-term happiness and contentment, we have to make the hardest choices. We have to do sacrifices to attain our goals and dreams. Our sacrifices and hardest choices act as a fuel to our success. They ignite our passion to achieve our goals. You have to give up your family time, your spare time, and quality time with friends as well. So it is a blessing to have such masses in your life.

Bring Positivity to Your Life

Always speak positively about your dreams. This will release the sense of contentment in your brain that you should speak positively about your things. By speaking positively about your dreams, you indirectly motivate yourself to achieve your goals. The biggest motivation for you comes from within yourself. You are your biggest supporter. پہلے اپنی گندگی صاف کرو۔ پھر دوسرے کا گند دکھیں  ہے۔

مجھے اپنے ایک آفس کے  ساتھی کی طرف سے تنقید کا سامنا تھا ۔ اس کی ساکھ پہلے ہی متاثر ہے۔

میں نے اس کے بارے میں جو کچھ سنا، اسے سب سے برا پایا ۔ کبھی کبھی میں سوچتا ہوں، حالات ہمیں تشکیل دیتے ہیں۔ لیکن کبھی کبھی، میں سوچتا ہوں کہ  ان حالات کا جس طرح ہم  جواب  دیتے ہین وھ ہمیں تشکیل دتا ہے ۔

وہ ان لوگوں میں سے ہے، جو اوپر جانے کے لیے دوسروں کو کچلنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں ۔

اس نے میرے کام میں مسئل کو  بے نقاب کیا۔ تنقید کی  اور غیر ضروری اور نادان تبصرے کیہ ۔ اس نے میرے کام کو انتظامیہ کے سامنے بے نقاب کیا۔ مجھے ان تمام چیلنجز کا سامنا کرنا پڑا ۔ ان تمام مسائل کو ٹھیک کرنا ۔ میرے لیے اپنی غلطی تسلیم کرنا واقعی مشکل تھا ، کیونکہ وہ جونیئر ہے اور میں سینئر ہوں۔ میں درد کو سنجیدگی سے محسوس کیا۔

مجھے وہ سب خامیاں  مل گئیں جن کا ذکر اس نے مجھے تباہ کرنے کے لیے کیا تھا۔ یا میری پوزیشن خراب کرنے کے لیہ ۔ میں نے محسوس کیا کہ اس نے جن چیزوں کا ذکر کیا ہے وہ 60 فیصد درست ہیں۔

میں نے اپنی کوششیں لگائیں اور تمام نکاتی چیزوں کا احاطہ کیا۔

مجھے احساس ہوا  کہ مجھے پہلے اپنے گھر کو صاف کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ مجھے اپنے کام کو بہتر بنانے یا صاف کرنے کے لیے مزید کام کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔

دوسرا، میں نے محسوس کیا کہ میں نے جو کوششیں کی ہیں وہ صرف کام  مکمل کے لیے ہیں۔ نظر ثانی اور دوبارہ جانچ کے لیے نہیں۔ مجھے اضافی وقت لینا ہے۔ یا تو مجھے وقت دوبارہ حاصل کرنا ہے، کسی طریقے سے یا تخمینہ لگا کر۔ اور مقررہ وقت پر کام مکمل کریں۔

آخر کار میں نے پایا، میرے کام میں تنظیم کی کمی ہے۔

 ایک کتاب ے on Managing Oneself ” پیٹر ڈوکر نے کہا کہ تمام مشہور افراد یا وہ لوگ جو تاریخ میں اثر انداز ہوتے ہیں ایک چیز مشترک ہے وہ یہ ہے کہ وہ خود کو سنبھالتے ہیں۔

اس جملے کی میری سمجھ کے مطابق، جب کوئی اپنے آپ کو(Manage ) سنبھال سکتا ہے۔ وہ دوسروں کا انتظام کرلے گا ۔ مجھے خود کو سنبھالنے پر کام کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔

اس لیے میں اپنی گندگی کو صاف کرنے کے لیے پہلے ہفتے میں سب کو مرحلہ وار تقسیم کرتا ہوں۔ میں کیا کر رہا ہوں، میرا کمرہ کیسا ہے، میں کیسے خرچ کر رہا ہوں، کیا پڑھ رہا ہوں، کون سا ذاتی کام مکمل ہو رہا ہے۔ مجھے کن چیزوں کی ضرورت ہے، کن چیزوں کی مجھے ضرورت نہیں ہے۔ مجھے ایک فہرست بنانا ہے اور انہیں منظم کرنا ہے۔

دوسرا ہفتہ۔ میں دیکھوں گا، مجھے کیا چاہیے، مجھے کیا بہتر کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ میں نے کیا پھینکنا ہے، جس نے مجھے اچھی طرح سے خدمت نہیں کی.

مطلب جب میں بہتری کے لیے کام کرنا شروع کرتا ہوں۔

اور تیسرے ہفتے سے۔ اپنے کام پر پوری توجہ دوں گا ، جبکہ دوسروں کے کاموں پر نظر رکھیں۔

یاد رکھیں، جب میں اپنے ساتھی کے کام کو چیک کرتا ہوں جس نے میری غلطیوں کو اجاگر کرکے میری ساکھ کو تباہ کیا۔ مجھ سے زیادہ غلطیاں ہیں۔ میں انہیں بے نقاب کر سکتا ہوں ۔ لیکن فائدہ کیا ہے. اگر، وہ ان چیزوں میں بہتری لاتا ہے۔ یہ میرے لئے مزید مقابلہ پیدا کرتا ہے۔ اس لیے میں اس کے عیبوں کو نظر انداز کرتا ہوں۔ اسے لگتا ہے کہ اس کا کام کامل ہے۔ لیکن ہڈ کے نیچے اس نے زیادہ نہیں سیکھا. اس کے  عیب نکالنا میری ذمہ داری نہیں، مجھے اپنے کام پر کام کرنا ہے۔

اس پوسٹ کے لیے میرا پیغام ہے،

  اپنی غلطی سے سیکھو.

ہمیشہ بہتری کی ضرورت ہے۔

تنقید کا سامنا کریں، اسے مثبت لیں۔ منفی کو مثبتیت میں تبدیل کریں۔ اسے قدم قدم بنائیں۔ بہتے 

پہلے اپنی گندگی صاف کرو۔ پھر دوسرے کا گند دکھیں  ہے۔

اگر آپ کو دوسروں میں عیب نظر آتا ہے تو پہلے آپ کو چیک کریں۔ اگر مل جائے تو ان کو آپ میں ٹھیک کر دیں۔

اگر آپ خود کو سنبھال لیں۔ پھر یقینی طور پر آپ دوسروں کا انتظام کرسکتیں  ہیں۔

تنقید سے پرہیز کریں، لڑائی کے لیے نہیں، کیونکہ اگر وہ بہتر ہوتا ہے تو آپ اس کی مدد کر رہے ہیں۔

ہمیشہ متحرک رہیں۔

Clean your home first.

I am facing criticism, from one of my follow colleague. His repute is already suffered.

What I heard about him, found him worst. Sometimes I think, circumstance shapes us. But sometimes, I think I response to these circumstances shapes us.

He is one of those person, who tries to crush others in way to go up.

He expose my work. Make criticize and unnecessary and immature comments. He expose my work in front of management. I face all those challenges. Fixes all those issues. It is really tough for me to accept my fault, because he is junior and I am senior. I seriously feel the pain.

I found all those things he mentioned for sake of destroying me. Or make my position worst. Actually helps me to grow. I found that 60 percent things he mentioned are right. 40 percent he mentioned were not correct.

I put my efforts and cover all pointed things.

I realize, that I need to clean my home first. I need to do more work to improve or clean my work.

Second, I found that I estimate efforts I given are just for work. Not for revision and recheck. I have to take extra time. Either I have to regain time, some way or by adding estimation. And complete task with in due time and then.

Finally I found, there is lack of organization in my work.

In managing oneself Peter Docker said that all famous persons or those people who impact in history has one thing is common that is they manage themselves.

As per my understanding of this sentence, when someone able to manage himself. He will manage others. I need to work on manage myself.

So I divide all in steps, first week to clean my mess. What I am doing, how is my room, How I am spending, what I am reading, what personal task are in complete. What things I need, what things I don’t need. I have to make a list and organize them.

Second week. I will see, what I need, what I need to improve. What I have to throw, which did not serve me well.

Mean while I start working to improve.

And from third week. Full focus on my work, while keep eye on others person tasks.

Remember, when I check my colleague work who destroyed my repute by highlighting my mistakes. Has more mistakes then me. I can expose them and that make a me feel good. But what is benefit. What if, he improves on those things. That creates more competition for me. So I ignore his faults. It feels his work is perfect. But under the hood he did not learn much. It is not my responsibility to get the faults of mine, I have to work on mine.

My message for this post is,

  • Always need for improvement.
  • Face the criticism, take it positive. Convert negativity into positivity. Make it stepping stone.
  • Clean your mess first. Then goes for other.
  • If you found fault in others, first check in you. If found then fix these in you fix it.
  • If you manage yourself. Then certainly you manage others.
  • Avoid criticism, not sake of fight, because if he improves, you are helping him.
  • Always stay proactive.
