How to get new Identity

I lost myself again, lost motivation.  I want to lose my old entity.

My old entity start creating problem in my progress.

I want to change my identity. My Identity creates ego problem.

People know me from my old identity. People knows me from my old entity.

So I lost my old identity. And start from this moment a new one.

Before starting at new journey I need to understand where I am going. What direction I have to take.

Its “Akhar” Begin with end in mind.

So what is my new Identity.

I am functional consultant in Supply chain and Enterprise asset management area.

Where to start: I already started my journey. But facing a challenges that need to meet.

Being a straight forward.

Most of the time living in Past.

Most of the time have a fear of future.

Most of the time feeling tired and disappointed.

What I need to improve:

Know the status of every task.

Built a relationship with each person.

Start a communicating skill.

Start building stories and share with others. Don’t afraid to fear of judging.

There will be smile on your face.

Seems to be happy.

Start writing blog and youtube videos on SCM and asset management topic.

Start lean body, not muscles but burn extra fat to look smart.

Start learning Arabic. My target region is Middle East.

Grip on English to build competency to communicate effectively.

Rumi attribute to built a new identity you have to lost your old one.

Don’t take yourself too seriously

Todays message horoscope is “

– Don’t take yourself too seriously. As long as you keep a lighthearted approach, you will skate through the day quite nicely. If, however, you insist that everything be done perfectly, you will be met with a great deal of frustration and headache.”

I am thinking about these statements. How accurate it is. I just completed two pieces of documentation. The documentation is the point, where perfection is never possible. Always chance of improvement.

I read the minutes of meetings and note down everything. But it can be improved.

When we get review from different people. Everyone has a different point of view. And one point of view is from Customer itself.

Sometimes we also face bias from different teammates.

I remember when I was come out from home, I was a over protected child. I face a lot of cititisim.

I complain it to my grade mom. She told, me ” Miayan agar kuch kerna chaathayte hoo to loogo kee baateen sonye kee aadat daal loo”. Look son if you want to achieve something, make habit to ignore what other said.

It very similar to Socrates said that ” If you want to avoid criticism, do nothing and be nothing”.

But truly speaking, you need a big heart. One of my ex colleague told me brother there are three words in Urdu ” Koi baat nahee”. ( no issue ). These three words are magic pill. If someone criticize you. Use these words and ignore what they said.

One of my friend told me brother ” toom suchayte bohat hoo”. You think a lot on what other said.

I am like Sathguru motivation speaking and discussion. He said, take the life as it is. No need to go find the truth behind everything. Its just there opinion.

In famous book 4 agreements Author talk about never take anything personally. Even he said, if someone comes and put gun on your head even that time, you will not take thing personally. Its all about them. How they think and feel about them.

So remember my friends, If you want to become something. Do something. Never stop if someone spoke about it. People are very clever, they observe you closely. They study you. They understand you. If you stop due to fear of criticism. They used this fear against you and did not let you go ahead.

So built a courage to face criticism. There is always positive way to deal with criticism, smile, listen and ignore.

Starts with what resources we have.

Life has different experiences. Sometimes I saw, that someone don’t have good resources and he made a huge difference. While some have huge resources and he unable to produce something.

Back in 2015, I was working for one company, that Hired 300 resource around the world for certain technology. And Joke starts to escalate that even Microsoft did not have such number of resource.

One place, I was working in IT section. Manager used to said that we don’t have good resources. If we have then we produce exceptional results.

While working for very small company, IT section, I found very old computer that support oracle 6. Not even Oracle 6 i. The IT manager of that company produces a application that supports the whole company. I never saw him to said that we don’t have resource. He accept the resources he had, and utilize them to produce something.

While submit a admission request in UET Lahore, I saw a young student, with very poor cloths and signs of ink on his cloths. Means he so poor that he did not have cloths to visit university. He had exceptional marks in FSC. While the admission form I am going to submit for friends son, has very low marks and very rare chance that he gets admission. Even I compare myself. I saw that I have every resource I had, but my marks were not exceptional. I just passed the exam.

While working with current team. Currently I got very weakest resources to start working. Others drag best resource with them. Now instead to weep, I start utilize that resource in best of interest.

Now I feel that resource does not matter. We have to utilize what we have. Our journey starts the moment we realize that we have to change and start from the right moment, where we are.

But many people still standing on the same place and think about “Kash main kaal yaa kam start kar lata”. Just start. Start what you have.

These 7 traits feel simple but hard to implement.

Remember Rome was not built in a day. Consistency is key to success.

Never Complain.

They never complain. Whatever is the situation, their feelings are irrelevant. They focus on their work. They enjoy challenges and never complain.

When you complain. It means, either you can not bear the situation or you are not able to handle it. Complaining makes things worse.

Do whatever needs to be done, Without complaining you have to complete it with a smile.

Act with Irrational Self-Belief

They believe on themself, and their abilities. their qualities, strengths, and weaknesses. They don’t care what other think of them. In the workspace, we have to hear a lot of noise, comments, and criticisms. these comments reflect what other think about you.

If you want to become a respectful person, ignore what others think about you. You have built an irrational self-belief. If you think you can do it, then do it.

Accept Your Mistakes.

Nobody knows everything. There are chances of mistakes.

Respectful people accept their mistakes, then correct them. They learn from it.

You can not correct until you accept it.

When you correct your mistakes, it will make you respectful in the eye of the observer.

Remember progress made through iterations.

Honor Your Commitments

Respectful people honor their commitments. If they said they are going to do something. They hold themself accountable.

Reputation is the only thing we have. Be a person of your word.

Take Yourself Seriously.

Respectful people take them seriously. They know their desire and goals and why these important to them. Achieving their desire and goals makes them respectful. they never stop at anything to attain them. They face challenges and obstacles to achieve what they want.

If you want to respect respected person. You have to taking yourself seriously, you can set a positive example for others and achieve success in all areas of your life.

Control Your Emotions.

Our emotions cloud our judgments. Respectful people always respond, they never react. The reaction comes from emotions. What we feel we react according to that. To respond, we have to take pause and think what needs to be done. How do we need to respond in such way that better results will come?

If you want to be a respectful person you need to control your emotions. Never react, always respond. Be decisive.

Influence

Most people drift through life.

They have no purpose, no direction, and zero intent. To create influence, first, you need to understand them. then you can lead them.

So, friends, these are 7 traits. Make the habit of never complaining, built unshakeable beliefs, accept your mistakes, and correct and learn from them. Always honor your commitments, and take yourself seriously. Remember, you understand yourself, your desire and goals and achievement will make you respectful. Never ever let your emotions in your way to take the right decisions. Help and lead others to achieve a meaningful life.

Hey guys welcome to consultant mindset. I hope you guys are doing great. Overthinking is quite common these days.  We tend to overthink every scenario. What does overthinking mean? Overthinking is when a person tends to ruminate over things repeatedly. The biggest assay mark of overthinking is that it is unproductive and it does not yield any good to your health. An overthinker often feels disrupted by even the smallest of criticism. He tends to pound his head upon that particular criticism. Overthinking does not let you do anything novel. Overthinking makes you stagnant in one place. Your skills and time get wasted eventually. Overthinking inflicts stress upon your mind as well. Constantly thinking about the same things all over again not only drains your mental health but also makes you feel frustrated. stress is good but everything is suitable in its limit. A small amount of stress lets you feel bounded to do a certain task. Whereas the extreme amount of stress disrupts your mental health. So you should know the difference between the amount of stress. Why overthinking is common these days? 

Overthinking can be provoked by different factors. Such as people having anxiety problems already may find it easier to develop overthinking habits. Whereas people suffering from depression and other mental issues may find it easy to develop overthinking as well. The fear of getting hurt by someone does not let them be at peace.

Overthinking is just unpaid permanent employment. although  It makes you feel agitated and sleepless yet, unavoidable. In short, it has become a necessary evil. Once you become addicted to it, there’s no way back. In today’s era, many people are already suffering from mental health issues so, it is quite easier to develop overthinking habits. 

There is a remedy to every problem. Let’s just find some easy ways to overcome this self-destructing habit.

How can we lessen overthinking?

Finding Distractions 

well, there’s just this popular saying that an empty mind is a devil’s workshop. Likewise, when we tend to stay inactive and useless, we become more prone to overthinking. We tend to ruminate over even the smallest of things. Instead of doing nothing, it is better to indulge yourself in other life activities where you can remain distracted. Distractions are quite necessary to keep yourself busy with productive things. For example, you can find those  things that interest you. Reading books, cooking, and playing video games or sport helps you stay away from unnecessary thoughts. Find those things and hobbies that make you feel more motivated and relieved. In this way, you will be away from overthinking for quite some sometime.

Try Helping Others

An overthinker always thinks that he is not good enough.  He always thinks bad stuff about himself and ruminates over such thoughts like “Maybe I’m not good enough”, ‘maybe they are offended by my words” etc. Always thinking negative things and not giving yourself some space is the biggest flaw of overthinking. Helping others is a way by which you can think good about yourself. You feel relieved that you are doing something good with your life. An overthinker needs constant reassurance and can get those by helping the needy. Helping others gives off a feeling of accomplishment and cheerfulness. Try doing it more often.

Recognise Your Accomplishments

If there is not anyone to lift you. Then you should become your hero. Constant reassurances hold significant importance in the life of an overthinker. If nobody recognises your accomplishment, then becomes your change. Take a notebook and write down your accomplishments on it. The accomplishments don’t need to be humongous. The smallest of success gives a feeling of calmness and serenity. For example, if this week you get to finish your all delayed tasks then it is an accomplishment. Write it down and praise yourself.

Try Taking Actions 

An overthinker develops his imaginary world. He tends to remain in that domain and avoids the rest of the world. He tends to give off answers to every question in his head only. He never actually wants to face the crowd. Try taking action instead of being stuck in one place. Being stagnant in one place makes you feel algal and rotten. The only one who can break the web of overthinking for you is you. None can do that for you. You have to work hard to bring change. If you have misunderstood the words of anyone then go ahead and ask them, Instead of banging your heads on the same stupid thoughts. Sort things out instead of holding them close to your heart. This way you will realise that nobody is interested in your life. It’s just you that thinks everyone matters. However, in the end, only you matter.

Embracing Fears

Instead of acting like a coward, reach out and face the situation. The feeling of fear is temporary if you face the fear. But it becomes permanent when you tend to avoid it. Build up the courage and embrace your fears. The strongest person is the one who doesn’t fear anything. Whereas weak mindsets always tend to fear something. So what are you waiting for? 

Let your fears out. And live life.

Hey, guys hope you are doing great. Welcome back to the consultant mindset. Everyone in their lives must have come across this question once in a lifetime. Why are we here? What’s the meaning of our life? What’s the mere purpose? The question of human existence is quite different for every religion. Every human is curious to find the answer to this question. What’s the point of our existence in this world? Many humans on this planet are living a meaningless life. They don’t know what to do with their lives. They are just spending their lives in constant struggles. They are spending their lives doing the bare minimum. They aren’t aware of their purpose in life. Many people have come across this thought quite a several times now. If you think like this then you are not alone in this situation. It is completely normal.

First off first, it is necessary to determine the correct definition of a meaningful life. Every individual has his perspective. They perceive life in their way. Not all of us have the same motto for life. A meaningful life is a construct of coherence, happiness and satisfaction. There can be different ways of a meaningful life. Every individual has his passion. Some want to excel in their academic career whereas some want to pursue in their jobs or businesses. A meaningful life refers to how are we going to spend our life. Either we spend it doing things of our passion or spend it wasting time on other garbage.

Life becomes meaningful when it has a purpose. When we become destined to achieve certain goals in our lives, life gets directed eventually. Having goals and purpose and striving for them day and night lets us put some major efforts to strive through the situation.  Finding meaning in one’s life is a personal journey. It requires some time but gradually streamlines you towards a meaningful life. Where you enjoy doing your thing instead of dragging it. A purposeful life lets you overcome any difficulty with much ease. Since you choose a life of your choice you become capable to cope with its hardships as well. 

How can we Establish a Meaningful Life?

A meaningful isn’t related to a successful life. If you’re having a satisfied mindset, you feel happy and contented and you’re good to go. People have this misconception that a happy life is somehow related to a meaningful life. You can be successful and live a meaningless life at the same time. For example, a person who is earning less but is doing a job of his interest is better than a person who’s a business tycoon and isn’t passionate about his work. It’s good to have less earnings with a passionate job.

Develop a passion or find your passion 

Anyone has some passion in their lives. While some are just living a trash life doing nothing at all. how can we determine our passion? Well, certain things in our lives make us feel happier and contented. It can either be some art or business etc. we just have to find that happiness and satisfaction. Some people find their happiness at a very old age but it is never too late to find out the exact purpose of your life. If you don’t have any passion, strive for one or find one.

Develop relationships 

Sometimes we develop such relationships in our lives to whom we become willing to devote our entire lives. There should be the existence of such people in our lives. We love seeing those people. Our unfinished love for them makes us do anything for them. We cannot imagine our lives without them. We try to live for them. We try to focus on ourselves for them. It is necessary to find some meaningful people in our lives that will let us move forward always. Life is like the ride of a camel stranded in a desert striving barely under the dazzling rays of the sun. if we want to keep going, stay connected to ones who never care to back off. Monitor Your Mood

Motivation is entirely dependent on your mood. You are not always in the mood to get things done. Since we are not machines there are times when we become extremely exhausted and become unwilling to do anything. At that time, you must not forgive and indulge yourself in other activities. Some random activities like games, exercise, reading books etc can divert your attention. after some relaxation, you again become strong enough to combat problems for your passion.

Monitoring Passion as you Age 

The interest of an individual changes throughout life. We have different interests at different stages of life. For instance, older people are more likely to indulge themselves in fun activities. They have trouble establishing new relationships but gradually they develop some really fun activities and continue to pursue them as their passion.

I was reading my horoscope. It mention something similar

How accurate it, also gives me some advise. Pain is invertible, suffering is optional. I also read some where, worries increases if we discuss. It reduce when we silent.

Is there any benefit to weep what happens to us. Is anybody interested in our pain. No nobody is interested in it. Yes a few people, who are enjoying how we suffer. We are not in good shape.

Is they solve our problem. not.

Pain, should be remains reside in heart, even it burns inside, if I share, it will hurt me ( It will use to hurt me)

How to defend your solution as consultant

In Consultancy, we have to provide solutions. And we have to defend our solution.

Our colleagues are our biggest competitors. We are working as team, but every one is different.

There is sayings, colleagues are friendly but not friend.

When you provide solution, Think about it,

  • What are alternatives possible
  • What are pros and cons of your solution.
  • At least 3 example you made so you can defend your point.
  • How to defend your point.

In the case you are writing your document. Read each and every line many times, try to rephrase it. think that your sentence explain what you want to explain, will explain well. Can I write it better way.
