Yes, we need that sharp focus to achieve anything in life.

Where we focus, life grows. There are a lot of failures in life. There are a lot of successes.

But actually, where is the success? You will find extreme focus there. After certain failures, setbacks, and finally success,.

Its true. It’s really important to stay focused. Our inner critic told us to do something else. But we have to keep our focus.

Focus on what you want. I tested it based on my own experience. If we pay attention, we can achieve almost everything.

Like light, focusing on a single point creates fire on paper. We have to find our magnifying glass. Our magnifying glass is our reason for wanting to do something.

There is one book, “Deep Work.” It talks about focus work. According to the author, if you want to produce something that is not easily replaceable, you have to do deep work. Focus work.

He defines two types of work. Shallow work and deep work

Shallow work is what we usually do. Check your email, check the WhatsApp app, and then start working again.

Deep work. We have to focus on our work. without distraction.

Stop wasting time just focus what is important.

Many times I stress, what to do next. Some times, I am thinking to plan and set goals.

How many times I wrote goals. But most of the time, I just focus on office work.

Actually our mind did not saw more then 3 months.

I wasted a lot of time. Then I understand, mind focus only what is important.

And most important thing is from where money is coming.

So I start implementing a few things.

First think. I start follow religiously Getting thing Done.

I achieved, a few things, but most important thing. When I note down, everything. My mind start relax.

On note down, everything, that came into my mind in folder “Inbox” That is Capture at least clear my mind.

Then I start focusing on what is most important.

I start using two apps. Notion, where I start writing everything.

Then on my mobile, what every idea came I start writing in Timestripe. Very similar to trello, kanban based application.

But difference is only it has built in time blocking and horizon. Which helps me to show. How much time I left. If I live at the age of 60.

So I used the modified version of GTD. On mobile what every Idea came to my mind, I start putting in inbox.

Goals, How to achieve your goals and stay motivated.

Setting goals is easy, but achieving them is really tough. We need to stay focused. And results do not come in a day.

And we lost motivation. So what is the best way? The best way is to keep thinking about goals.

In the morning, wake up early and revise your goals.

Or in the evening, when you close your shop, write a journal. There, you have to revisit goals.

Most of the time, discouraging thoughts come into your mind. At that moment, intentionally think about your goals.

What you want to achieve, why you want to achieve.

Most of the time, we discourage ourselves. In ourselves, there is criticism. This critic constantly told us that our efforts were useless. We can make better use of our time. Or there is a lack of planning. There are some things we can do better.

So we have to keep that critic at bay. And just focus on our goals.

The suffering antidote

Buddah said that cutting your desire will lead to less suffering. Why we have pain from an event is due to our expectations. But the truth is, we did not suffer from what actually happened. But from the story we tell ourselves about what happened, that creates suffering. Our expectations are the actual cause of suffering. The best way to avoid suffering is to take life as it is. Some people consider it Hukam, what happens, it was due to divine decision. It should happen in this way. Hukam is usually punjabi knows; this word means accaptance. Hukam is solution to suffering. Sometimes we resist the reality. So the best solution to that is acceptance. Remember, what we resist persists.
